About Us

HISTORY

Based on the letter of the Rector's Office dated 06.03.2009 and numbered B.30.o.KHM.06.01.001.1534-7208. Our center was established within the Rectorate in accordance with the decision taken at the Higher Education executive board meeting dated 22.02.2012 and Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880, and was published in the official gazette No. 28251.


PURPOSE AND TASKS

The purpose of the center is to organize research and development (R&D) activities and applications in the fields of fundamental and applied sciences within a centralized organizational framework, creating an efficient environment.



TASKS


1. Ensuring that devices are used collaboratively.

2. Facilitating coordination among research laboratories, research-application centers, and similar units within the university.

3. Establishing an environment for interdisciplinary collaboration.

4. Increasing the university’s capacity to carry out projects.

5. Offering testing, analysis, and consultancy services based on fees determined by the management board.

6. Creating a foundation for collaborative projects between the university and industry.

7. Setting up the necessary environment for implementing projects within GUBITAM.

8. Collaborating with other stakeholders to organize educational events, conferences, and scientific meetings.

9. Providing assistance in patent and licensing agreements, technology transfers, and related areas.

10. Creating new laboratories and units under the center’s umbrella when necessary.

11. Undertaking accreditation efforts.

12. Continuously monitoring technological developments and ensuring that laboratories and devices are updated in accordance with current conditions
